Stolen Goods Valued at Over €11,000
The total value of the stolen items is estimated to be around 11,116 euros. During searches conducted at the suspects’ residences and other outdoor areas, authorities recovered and confiscated 15 tobacco products, 8 bronze items (including crosses), parts of bronze objects, and one mobile phone.
It has been noted that both individuals have a history of involvement in similar offenses. Following their arrest, the suspects were brought before the Corfu Public Prosecutor.
Community Impact and Previous Incidents
The incidents occurred in the areas of Paleochori, Kouspades, and Agios Nikolaos, causing significant concern among local residents. The theft of religious artifacts from cemeteries and a church has particularly distressed the community.
