The Mayor of South Corfu, Mr. Ioannis Kavvadias, announced that waste collection has recommenced in the municipality. The full restoration of public aesthetics will occur gradually over the next few days.
Official Announcement from the Municipality
The Municipality of South Corfu informed its citizens that, as of today, waste collection is operating normally again across all municipal units.
Reason for the Interruption and Resumption
The temporary interruption has officially ended, as the necessary Government Gazettes (Φ.Ε.Κ.) have been issued, ensuring the smooth and uninterrupted operation of the sanitation service.
Call for Citizen Cooperation
Due to the increased volume of accumulated waste, the complete restoration of the municipality’s appearance will take place gradually over the coming days. Citizens are kindly requested for their cooperation and proper disposal of waste in the bins.
The municipality extended warm thanks to all citizens for their patience and understanding during the preceding period.
