Corfu, January 15 – The Old Philharmonic of Corfu successfully organized a voluntary blood donation and bone marrow donor registration drive on Wednesday, January 14. The event, held in collaboration with “Pandotis” (a cooperating hub of KEDMOP-“Give Life”), saw a significant turnout from the local community.
29 Units of Blood Collected for Corfu General Hospital
The drive resulted in the collection of 29 units of blood, which will substantially strengthen the reserves of the Blood Donation Department at the Corfu General Hospital. According to officials, the need for blood is particularly high during this period.
New Bone Marrow Donors Registered
In addition to blood donations, three new volunteers were registered as bone marrow donors, contributing to the vital “Give Life” initiative.
The Old Philharmonic extended its sincere gratitude to several key individuals and organizations for their invaluable contributions to the success of the event:
- Vassilis Andriotis, Director of the Blood Donation Department at the Corfu General Hospital, and his nursing staff for their precious support.
- Anastasios Nikolouzos, President of “Pandotis,” and his dedicated team of executives who participated in the action.
- All the volunteers who supported this effort.
