Hilton Boosts Greek Presence with Three New Luxury Hotels Opening Spring 2026
Athens, Corfu, Santorini (Greece), March 25, 2026 – Hilton is set to significantly strengthen its footprint in Greece with the planned opening of three new high-standard luxury hotels in Athens, Corfu, and Santorini in Spring 2026. This move is part of a wider investment strategy that has seen the group’s portfolio in the country grow from just one hotel five years ago to more than 50 properties currently, with another 20 in various stages of development.
The Three New Hilton Hotels in Greece
1. Conrad Athens The Ilisian – Athens
Scheduled to open in Spring 2026, the Conrad Athens The Ilisian aims to become a premier luxury destination in the capital. The hotel will offer 307 rooms and suites, many boasting views of the Acropolis and Lycabettus Hill. A standout feature will be its extensive wellness facilities, spanning over 2,000 square meters, which include a Longevity Clinic, indoor and outdoor pools, and a rooftop jogging track.
Gastronomically, nine dining venues, including the highly anticipated re-opening of Galaxy and Byzantino, are expected to make a significant mark on the property’s new identity.
2. Conrad Corfu – Corfu
Also slated for a Spring 2026 opening, the Conrad Corfu represents a significant investment in premium resort tourism. Located on a beachfront property in the southern part of the island, it will feature 136 rooms, suites, and villas – most with private pools or jacuzzis. The hotel will emphasize a holistic hospitality experience through wellness services, family activities, and cultural elements inspired by local heritage. High gastronomy will also be a key focus, under the culinary direction of Michelin-starred chef Alexandros Tsiotinis.
3. Sandblu Santorini, LXR Hotels & Resorts – Santorini
Opening in April 2026, the Sandblu Santorini marks the entry of the LXR Hotels & Resorts brand into the Greek market. This boutique luxury resort will comprise 66 rooms, built above Kamari Beach, showcasing strong elements of Cycladic architecture and contemporary design. The property will prioritize privacy and personalized experiences, offering six dining venues, high-end spa facilities, and activities linked to gastronomy and local culture.
Strategic Reinforcement of Greece’s Position in Luxury Tourism
These new additions align with Hilton’s overarching strategy to expand into mature yet rapidly developing destinations. Greece is a key pillar of this strategy, driven by the continuous increase in demand for luxury and experiential travel.
The presence of the Conrad and LXR brands in the country further solidifies Greece’s position on the global luxury tourism map, while simultaneously creating new investment opportunities and collaborations within the hotel sector. Beyond Greece, the group is also actively expanding into other markets, such as Thailand and India, and continues to enrich its brand portfolio with new entries into emerging destinations.
