“I, Andreas” Exhibition and its Digitization

The exhibition “I, Andreas,” dedicated to the esteemed theater personality Andreas Voutsinas, at the Hellenic American Union Gallery in Kolonaki, has revealed many unknown facets of his life. Curated by Iris Kritikou and featuring the historical archive preserved by Voutsinas’ son, Marios Angelos Voutsinas, the exhibition offers a comprehensive look at the artist’s personal life and extensive work. The primary goal of Marios Angelos Voutsinas was to provide a historical overview and documentation of his father’s complete work through his archive. The exhibition features everyday items belonging to Voutsinas, including the artwork “Bed time stories” by Marios Angelos Voutsinas, which utilizes his father’s watch collection, as well as exclusive Louis Vuitton caps and Zelo hats, a chimpanzee doll, and a small military diorama. The second hall chronicles Andreas Voutsinas’ career and collaborations with legendary figures. Significantly, all materials from the exhibition will be digitized to make the artist’s personality accessible to a wider audience.
