The 9th No Finish Line Athens wrapped up on a high note with the presentation of an additional €23,117.50 at a ceremony at Moxy Athens City, lifting the total donation to Together for Children to €261,505.50. Held at the OAKA Agora earlier this year, the charity run mixed sport with real, local impact for Athens.
How much was donated and to whom?
Organizers confirmed a total of €261,505.50 went to Together for Children after handing over a new check of €23,117.50. The money supports programs for children from vulnerable families across Greece, where every euro helps keep services going.
Who supported the initiative?
No Finish Line Athens president and executive director Sophia Kede presented the check together with major sponsors, National Insurance (represented by marketing and communications director Irini Chalkiadaki) and Lidl Hellas (Maria Roukoudi). The donation was received by Gianna Panagiotidou of Together for Children. Also present were Giannis Nikolaou of No Finish Line International and Isidoros Kouvelos, president of the Hellenic Olympic Committee, who praised the effort and the people behind it.

Why does this donation matter for Athens?
Thanks to 92,470 charity kilometers (and 97,225 km in total) recorded by nearly 8,500 participants at the OAKA Agora from 7-11 May 2025, the event has already helped more than 30,000 children in need. Not bad for five days in May, right? Beyond raising funds, the effort brings people together and keeps volunteer spirit alive in the city.
How was the money raised?
Companies, schools, and clubs formed teams that logged kilometers converted into funding. Simple idea, strong results. Notable team totals included National Insurance (2,752 km), Priority Consultants (2,420 km), and schools from Agia Paraskevi contributing thousands of kilometers.
What comes next for 2026?
Organizers announced the golden ambassadors of the 10th anniversary No Finish Line Athens 2026: athletes of Greece’s women’s national water polo team, represented at the ceremony by 17-year-old world champion Nefeli Krassa. The goal is clear: inspire even more “kilometers of love” next year and bring new faces into the mix.
