Temporary traffic regulations are now in effect on the Corfu-Lefkimmi Provincial Road, impacting the section from the ‘MARBELA’ Hotel in Agios Ioannis Peristeron up to the ‘MIRA MARE’ Hotel in Moraitika. These changes are crucial for all vehicle types and will be in place from Wednesday, December 10, 2025, to Friday, December 12, 2025, daily between 09:00 and 16:00.

Key Changes and Detours:

During the specified hours, the following regulations will apply:

  1. Road Closure: There will be a complete cessation of traffic and parking on the Corfu-Lefkimmi provincial road, specifically from the ‘MARBELA’ Hotel to the ‘MIRA MARE’ Hotel.
  2. Light Vehicle Detour (Corfu to Lefkimmi): Private passenger vehicles (I.X.E.) traveling from Corfu towards Lefkimmi will be diverted through Vryoni, Ponti, Agioi Deka, Strongyli, and Messonghi. The same route will apply in reverse for vehicles traveling from Lefkimmi to Corfu.
  3. Heavy Vehicle Detour (Up to 10T): Vehicles up to 10 tons, traveling in both directions (Corfu to Lefkimmi and vice versa), will exclusively use the route via Messonghi, Agios Matthaios, Vouniatades, Agioi Theodoroi, Kastellanoi, Milia, and Vryoni.
  4. Agios Ioannis One-Way Street: The municipal road of Agios Ioannis (at the height of MARBELA) will become a one-way street towards Strongyli, allowing passage only for private passenger vehicles (I.X.E.).
  5. Heavy Vehicle Restriction (Over 10T): There will be a complete traffic ban for trucks over 10 tons, from the municipal parking area of Benitses up to the Messonghi roundabout.

Drivers are advised to plan their routes accordingly and allow for extra travel time. Please follow all temporary signage and instructions from traffic authorities.
