There are moments when words fail to describe the emotions that arise within us. This is how we feel after the completion of Tania Tsanaklidou’s two charity performances, titled “Music Unites…Solidarity Saves,” held to support the Corfu General Hospital. Through these events, the AHEPA Corfu HJ-34 chapter completed another highly significant project of offering to the community-until the next one.

A Grand Collaboration of 300 Artists

For two consecutive days, 300 artists, specifically dozens of students from the Children’s School Choirs of the 3rd-4th Junior High School and the Music School, experienced a unique collaboration on stage, demonstrating maturity and moving sensitivity.

Alongside them, the Mandolin Orchestra of the Corfu Music School and choristers from the Mixed Choirs of Kanoni and the Lyceum of Greek Women showcased their rich talent, meeting the high artistic standards required by the performances.

The Gastouri Philharmonic “Omonia,” under the direction of maestro Spyros Rallis, with approximately 80 musicians, made a decisive contribution to the creation of a flawless, aesthetically pleasing, and musically complete performance. It was a unity of soul, style, and emotion, where every second held its own significance.

A Journey Through Music with Tania Tsanaklidou

The audience, with respect and deep appreciation for Tania Tsanaklidou’s artistic personality, traveled with her to the cabarets of France, the retro scenes of Europe, the tarantella of Italy, as well as the bouzoukia of Plaka and music venues across the country.

The AHEPA Corfu Chapter expresses its deep pride and satisfaction for the warm response from the public, without whose contribution this endeavor would not have been achieved.

Significant Impact on Local Healthcare

And the goal was achieved! As announced by AHEPA Corfu and the Administrator of the Corfu General Hospital, the training and certification of 30 doctors and nurses have been completed, substantially upgrading the provision of healthcare on our island.

The Chapter President, Antonis Provatas, warmly thanks all the contributors to the performances, the sponsors who actively supported the event, all members of Chapter HJ34 Corcyra, as well as the Governor of AHEPA Greece and PhD holder from the Ionian University, Nikos Dimitropoulos, for his unwavering support, continuous presence, and steadfast belief in achieving the goal.
