Planned Power Outages on Corfu for Essential Maintenance

Corfu, May 5, 2026 – The Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator (DEDDIE) in the Corfu region has announced scheduled power interruptions for Tuesday, May 5, 2026. These outages are necessary to carry out essential maintenance work on the main Medium Voltage Lines and their associated installations. The power cuts are planned to occur between 7:30 AM and 12:00 PM.

DEDDIE emphasizes the critical nature of these works to ensure the continued reliability and safety of the electricity network on the island. While the maintenance is scheduled for a specific timeframe, residents are advised to consider the network continuously ‘under tension’ even if power is restored earlier than anticipated, due to the possibility of works concluding ahead of schedule.

Residents are encouraged to take necessary precautions, such as unplugging sensitive electronic equipment and making alternative arrangements for any activities that require electricity during the specified hours. For further updates or information, residents can contact DEDDIE’s local offices.

This planned maintenance is part of DEDDIE’s ongoing commitment to upgrading and maintaining the electrical infrastructure across Greece, ensuring a safer and more reliable power supply for all citizens.
