Commitment to Tourism Development

In a statement, the new Board of Directors assured the Association’s members and the local community that it will make every effort to fulfill its objectives, emphasizing collective action, the upgrading of services provided, and the further development of tourism in Corfu.

The new leadership is expected to focus on strengthening the position of Corfu’s travel agents within the broader tourism sector, advocating for their interests, and contributing to sustainable tourism growth on the island. Their commitment to collective action and service improvement signals a proactive approach to addressing current challenges and seizing future opportunities in the dynamic travel industry.

The election marks a new chapter for AOCTA, with a clear mandate to enhance the island’s appeal as a premier tourist destination. Stakeholders across the local tourism ecosystem will be closely watching the initiatives undertaken by the new board to bolster Corfu’s competitive edge and ensure a prosperous future for its travel and hospitality sectors.

The association’s renewed focus on collaboration and development comes at a crucial time for Corfu, as the global tourism landscape continues to evolve. The expertise and dedication of the newly elected members are anticipated to play a pivotal role in shaping the island’s tourism strategy and securing its long-term success.
