HealthHub Consortium Convenes 3rd Annual Meeting in Corfu
Corfu, April 29, 2026 – The Ionian Academy in Corfu hosted the first day of the 3rd Official Meeting of the HealthHub Consortium on April 28, 2026. The gathering brought together representatives from all partner organizations to discuss the progress and future of digital health innovation.
The HealthHub initiative functions as a European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH), serving as a central point for Digital Health across regional, national, and European levels. Its primary objective is to provide free digital transformation services, primarily leveraging Artificial Intelligence, to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and public administrations within the health and pharmaceutical sectors. The project is co-funded by the European Union through the Competitiveness Program (ESPA 2021-2027).
Meeting Agenda and Key Discussions
The day commenced with participant registration, followed by an official welcome and an outline of the day’s objectives presented by the Ionian University and the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development (INEDEP). This set the stage for a collaborative and productive session.
INEDEP then provided a comprehensive overview of the project, detailing the current timeline, performance indicators, deliverables, and milestones achieved to date. This presentation served as a crucial reference point for the subsequent discussions.
The meeting continued with two sessions dedicated to partner progress reviews (Part A and Part B). During these sessions, each partner organization had 10 minutes to present their service provision and work progress, outline the challenges encountered and the solutions implemented, and discuss their next steps for planning.
Cloud AI Platform Presentation Highlights
One of the most engaging segments of the day was the presentation by the Ionian University (Bioinformatics and Human Electrophysiology Laboratory) on the ‘Cloud AI Platform’ service use case. This presentation included a detailed overview of the platform, practical examples of its use by beneficiary organizations, and its future utilization prospects within the project’s framework.
The first day concluded with a summary of findings from INEDEP, which encapsulated the key points derived from the discussions and laid the groundwork for the next day’s activities.
