The Municipality of Tripoli is delighted to announce a special day trip to Athens for the esteemed members of KAPI (Open Care Centres for the Elderly). This exciting excursion is scheduled for Sunday, December 14, 2025, offering a rich program of cultural and recreational activities in the festive atmosphere of the capital.
Trip Itinerary: What to Expect
The day will be packed with diverse experiences, carefully planned to ensure an enjoyable and memorable outing for all participants:
- Departure from Tripoli: The journey begins promptly at 08:00 AM from Kolokotronis Square in Tripoli. Members are advised to arrive a few minutes earlier to ensure a timely departure.
- Arrival in Athens: Participants are expected to arrive in Athens by approximately 10:00 AM, ready to explore the city.
- Free Time in Historic Athens: Upon arrival, KAPI members will have ample free time to immerse themselves in the vibrant Christmas ambiance of Athens. This is an excellent opportunity for a leisurely stroll, enjoying a coffee, or having lunch in the historic city center, which will be adorned with festive decorations.
- Musical Performance at Pallas Theater: In the afternoon, the program includes attendance at the multi-award-winning musical “Annie” by Thomas Meehan, Charles Strouse, and Martin Charnin. The performance is scheduled for 3:00 PM at the prestigious Pallas Theater. This classic musical promises to be a heartwarming experience for all.
- Visit to Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC): The cultural journey continues with a visit to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC). Here, members will experience the annual “Bio Lumina” Festival of Lighting Installations, a signature event of the SNFCC’s Christmas World. This festival promises to transport visitors into an imaginative ecosystem of light and sound, offering a truly unique visual and auditory spectacle.
- Return to Tripoli: Following the enriching experiences in Athens, the group will depart for Tripoli, concluding a day full of festive cheer and cultural exploration.
