Corfu Municipal Council to Convene with 14 Agenda Items on Wednesday
Corfu, June 12 – The Municipal Council of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands will hold a meeting on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The session will take place in person at the Regional Unit of Corfu Meeting Hall (former Prefecture building – Samara 13) and concurrently via teleconference. The agenda includes 14 topics covering various administrative and developmental issues for the municipality.

The council will discuss a range of important matters, including:
- Approval of the initiation process for the Municipality’s application to create a controlled anchorage (moorings) in maritime areas of Central Corfu. The proposal will be presented by Deputy Mayor Mr. Spyridon Halikiopoulos.
- Approval of the May 8, 2026, opinion report from the Monitoring and Acceptance Committee for the service titled ‘Upgrading Sports Facilities of the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands.’ Deputy Mayor Mr. Andreas Kardonas will present this item.

- Approval of the initiation of the process for naming the area at the 1st side street of Delvinioti Street, in the Agion Pateron district (Kampiello position) of the Municipal Community of Corfiots. Deputy Mayor Mr. Andreas Kardonas will present this.
- Approval for the safe implementation of vehicle entry-exit at the LPG storage and distribution facility under the name ‘S. KOROMIOS & SIA E.E.’, in an area outside the city plan and outside the settlement, in the ‘VIKIKI’ position of the Municipal Community of Virou, of the Municipal Unit of Achilleion. - Approval of the request from the Alternative Cultural Workshop for the concession of school premises for the realization of activities, following Decision No. 5-4/26-5-2026 (ADA: 9Ξ5Ζ46ΜΣΞΘ-09Μ) of the Secondary Education School Committee. - Approval of requests from Associations for the concession of school premises for the realization of cultural events, following Decision No. 5-5/3-6-2026 (ADA: ΡΑΥΜ46ΜΣΞ1-Α6Σ) of the Primary Education School Committee. Deputy Mayor Mr. Christos – Heracles Skourtis is the rapporteur.
- Appointment of two regular Members for the composition of the Board of Directors of the Center for Addiction Prevention and Promotion of Psychosocial Health of the Regional Unit of Corfu ‘DI.MO.P. ‘NIKOS MOROS’. Mayor Mr. Stefanos Penintarchou Poulimenos will present this.
- Replacement of an alternate member appointed for the composition of the Board of Directors of the Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Company of the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands, following resignation. Mayor Mr. Stefanos Penintarchou Poulimenos will present this.
- Supplementation of Decision No. 10-109/13-5-2026 titled ‘Approval of the conclusion and terms of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands and the company ‘National Network of Technology and Research Infrastructures S.A. – EDYTE S.A. for the strengthening of the innovation ecosystem for the promotion of the digital transformation of public administration, regional governance, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)’, with the appointment of a regular member and their alternate for the composition of the foreseen Committee. - Replacement of the regular and alternate members appointed for the composition of the Committee for the Resolution of Tax Disputes Settlement for the year 2026, following their resignation. Mayor Mr. Stefanos Penintarchou Poulimenos will present this.
- Appointment of a Municipal Councilor and their alternate for the composition of the Committee for the Suitability and Selection of Plots and Buildings – Lease of Real Estate for the Housing and Operation of School Units for the year 2026.
