On Saturday, December 6th, according to information from kerkyrasimera.gr, the city of Corfu will be enveloped in a Christmas atmosphere, with the official illumination and a series of events promising to transform the historic center into a vibrant, festive setting.
Festive Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony
The festivities will commence at 6:00 PM from the Municipal Theater of Corfu, where children with illuminated lanterns will lead a festive procession through the city streets. The parade will be accompanied by the musical ensembles of the three historic philharmonic orchestras: Palaia, Mantzaros, and Kapodistrias, making an impressive joint appearance.
The procession is scheduled to arrive at 7:00 PM at Dimarcheiou Square, where a large festive party will be held. The event will culminate with the lighting of the island’s Christmas tree, marking the official start of the holiday season.
