Athens, October 30 – The Athens Chamber of Commerce & Industry (EBEA) will host a business networking event on November 19, 2025, bringing together Greek and Turkish representatives from the automotive industry. The Greek-Turkish Automotive Company Mission will be held at the Wyndham Grand Athens hotel.

Collaboration with Turkish automotive export association

EBEA is organizing the event with the Praxi Network and in cooperation with the OiB Automotive Turkish Association, which acts as Turkey’s official export body for the automotive sector. This collaboration aims to strengthen business ties between the two countries’ automotive industries and open up new opportunities for commercial partnerships.

The event will focus on face-to-face business meetings at the hotel, allowing participants to hold direct discussions on potential collaborations, trade opportunities, and industry developments.

Free registration required for participation

Although attendance is free, interested participants must register in advance via the b2match.com platform. The online system is designed to set up pre-scheduled meetings between attendees and help ensure productive networking.

EBEA has invited members interested in participating to contact either the Praxi Network or the Athens Chamber of Commerce & Industry directly for more information and help with the registration process.

Growing economic ties between Greece and Turkey

The automotive event comes amid growing economic engagement between Greece and Turkey across various industries. The automotive industry is a significant part of Turkey’s export economy, and Greek businesses have shown rising interest in sourcing components and forming partnerships with Turkish manufacturers.

Industry data indicate that Turkey’s automotive sector is among the country’s largest industrial branches, with substantial capacity in both vehicle manufacturing and automotive components. The sector has been actively working to expand its export markets and build stronger ties with European partners.

Strategic importance of automotive sector cooperation

The Greek-Turkish Automotive Company Mission reflects wider efforts to improve bilateral trade relations through sector-specific initiatives. Business-to-business meetings like these provide a structured setting for companies to explore concrete opportunities for collaboration, including supply chain partnerships, technology transfer, and joint ventures.

For Greek companies, the event provides access to Turkey’s developed automotive manufacturing base and competitive production costs. Turkish participants, meanwhile, gain opportunities to connect with Greek businesses that can act as gateways to broader European markets.

Event details and contact information

The Greek-Turkish Automotive Company Mission will be held on November 19, 2025 at the Wyndham Grand Athens. Specific timing details for the day’s schedule have not yet been announced, but they will be shared with registered participants.

Interested companies and EBEA members looking for more information about the event can reach out to the Praxi Network or contact the Athens Chamber of Commerce & Industry directly. Registration must be completed via the b2match.com platform before the event date.

Context of Greek-Turkish business relations

This automotive initiative is part of ongoing efforts to maintain and strengthen commercial dialogue between Greek and Turkish business communities, despite periodic political tensions between the two countries. Trade and business organizations on both sides have consistently advocated continuing and expanding economic cooperation as a stabilizing factor in bilateral relations.

The Athens Chamber of Commerce & Industry has previously organized similar cross-border business events aimed at encouraging commercial partnerships and facilitating trade between Greek companies and their counterparts in neighboring countries and key trading partners.
