Corfu, March 17 – A 40-year-old local man was arrested yesterday, March 16, 2026, in Corfu on charges of theft. The arrest was made by officers of the DI.AS. Team following a complaint regarding the incident.
Investigation Leads to Arrest
According to police reports, after a relevant complaint was filed, the suspect was apprehended by officers during a search operation. The investigation revealed that the individual had allegedly stolen tobacco products and a sum of 100 euros from a store located in the city of Corfu.

The preliminary investigation into the case was conducted by the Sub-Directorate for the Prosecution and Investigation of Crimes of Corfu. Following his arrest, the accused was brought before the Public Prosecutor of the Court of First Instance of Corfu.
