Some events transcend the boundaries of a mere conference and transform into profound experiences. These are moments that extend beyond discussion halls and business meetings, leaving a deeper imprint on those who live them. Such was the case in Corfu, where for the first time in Greece’s history, the Forbes Global Properties Global Summit took place, gathering representatives from the international real estate market, investors, entrepreneurs, and leading figures from every corner of the globe.

Corfu: A Global Stage for Real Estate Elite

Against the idyllic backdrop of the Ionian Sea, hosted by the luxurious Angsana Corfu Resort & Spa, Greece proved its capability to stand at the epicenter of major international events. This achievement wasn’t solely due to the impeccable organization and high caliber of the conference proceedings, but primarily through its unique ability to transform every event into a holistic experience of culture, hospitality, and lifestyle.

For three days, Corfu became the meeting point where diverse markets, cultures, and investment perspectives converged. Real estate executives from Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and America exchanged views on global real estate trends, while simultaneously experiencing a modern, outward-looking Greece brimming with opportunities.

Unforgettable Impressions and High Standards

The impressions left by the event were exceptional. Many international guests described the summit as one of the most comprehensive and high-level events they had attended in recent years. Particularly impactful were the words of Jose Ribes Bas, a founding member of Forbes Global Properties, who noted that Greece set an exceptionally high bar, leaving a legacy that will be difficult for future host countries to surpass.

Roula Rouva, Founder and CEO of Forbes Global Properties Greece, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that the Greek organization demonstrated the country’s quality, expertise, and vision to host global events, competing effectively with the largest international gatherings.

A Journey of Greek Hospitality and Culture

The curtain rose with a cosmopolitan welcome cocktail at the Angsana Corfu Resort & Spa. The atmosphere blended discreet luxury with Mediterranean elegance, while live music and violin melodies accompanied the guests’ first encounter with renowned Greek hospitality.

From the outset, guests connected with an authentic Greek experience through a carefully curated luxury gift bag that included exquisite local products, gastronomic creations, and handmade items. Significant contributions came from Olive Fabrica – The Governor’s Olive Mill, Lazaris Distillery & Artisan Sweets, Corfu Distillery & Traditional Artisan Products, Corfu Olive Oil Mill & Tasting Experience, Ariadne Jewellery – The Art of Greek Jewellery, Corfu Jewellery Boutique, and Jewellery Shop Ioannidis 1890, Corfu & Ioannina, all of whom highlighted the island’s modern creative and productive identity.

The second day of the conference offered a different perspective of Corfu. Following the sessions and presentations by international speakers, participants enjoyed a unique sea excursion around the island, discovering the natural beauty of the Ionian from a different vantage point.

The experience culminated in the historic gardens of the Palace of St. Michael and St. George, in the heart of the Old Town. Here, Greek gastronomy took center stage through a multifaceted culinary journey that connected different regions of the country, from Macedonia and Epirus to the Aegean and Ionian.

Crucial was the participation of Monastre Restaurant, Olympia Mare Restaurant, Zisimos 1928, and Anemos Restaurant & Café, who presented creations that showcased modern Greek cuisine and the richness of local products.

However, the evening was not limited to gastronomy. International visitors also experienced Corfu’s deep musical tradition, an integral element of its cultural identity. The Gastouri Philharmonic
