Athens Street Photography Festival: Open Call for Submissions
Athens, Greece – From May 14 to 17, 2026, Athens will host its inaugural international street photography festival, establishing the city as a significant point of reference for creators worldwide. The Athens Street Photography Festival (ASPF), based at TAF – The Art Foundation, aims to fill a notable gap in Greece’s cultural landscape and become a premier event for contemporary urban photography.
International Photography Competition
A significant part of the festival’s program is an international photography competition, inviting photographers to submit their unique perspectives on everyday street life. Selected participants will have their work featured in the festival’s central exhibition, with their names announced during a special ceremony on the final day of ASPF.
Participants are invited to submit up to three (3) photographs via email to [email protected]. The initial submission is free of charge. However, for photographs selected by the jury, a fee of €50 per work will be required to cover printing costs.
The competition will run until April 5, 2026. Submitted photographs must have been taken between 2024 and 2026, with a maximum file size of 5 MB and the longest side of the image set to 1500 pixels.
Distinguished Panel of Judges and Parallel Events
The festival boasts an impressive panel of international judges, with the final selection co-signed by the internationally renowned Greek photographer Nikos Economopoulos (Magnum Photos).
In addition to the exhibition, the ASPF program includes talks by distinguished photographers, photowalks, portfolio reviews, and other activities designed to strengthen the creative community and promote street photography according to international standards.
ASPF extends an open invitation to photographers, art enthusiasts, and the general public to participate in this pioneering event. For more information on the program, competition terms, and submission process, please visit the official festival website.
