Corfu Nurseries: New Job Opportunities for Nursery Assistants in 2025-2026
The Corfu Social Protection and Solidarity Association, with approval from ASEP (Supreme Council for Civil Personnel Selection), is proceeding with the recruitment of Nursery Assistants. These positions are offered under a fixed-term private law employment contract, as part of the ‘Promotion and Support of Children for their Integration into Preschool Education and Creative Employment’ initiative for the 2025-2026 period.
Positions Available and Specializations
The recruitment targets secondary education graduates to staff municipal nurseries within the Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands. This initiative aims to ensure the smooth operation of these facilities and enhance the quality of preschool care services provided.
- 2 positions for Secondary Education Nursery Assistants
The contract duration extends from its signing until August 31, 2026. There is a possibility of renewal or extension, provided the action continues and the necessary funding is secured.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must possess a degree, diploma, or graduation certificate in one of the following specializations:
- Nursery Assistants
- Childminders
- Social Carers
- Preschool Education from IEK, EPAL, TEE, TEL, or an equivalent title from a school unit in Greece or abroad.
Note: If the positions are not filled by candidates with the primary qualifications, candidates with auxiliary qualifications will also be considered.
Scoring Criteria
The evaluation and ranking of candidates will be carried out according to the following criteria:
- Duration of unemployment (continuous or not)
- Status as a large family (polytemic) or a family with three children (tritemic)
- Single-parent family status
- Number of minor children
- Grade of basic academic title
- Relevant professional experience
- Disability of the candidate or a relative
Important: Permanent residents of all municipalities on the island of Corfu will be prioritized, regardless of their total scoring.
