Athens, November 25 – Release Athens 2026 is set to host Canadian alternative metal/rock giants Three Days Grace for their inaugural performance in Greece. The highly anticipated concert will take place on Sunday, June 28, at Water Square, promising one of the most explosive and emotionally charged shows of the upcoming summer.
Three Days Grace: A Journey Through Alternative Metal
Formed in 1997 as a reincarnation of Groundswell, Three Days Grace released their self-titled debut album in 2003, achieving immediate success with the massive hit “I Hate Everything About You.” This led to three years of continuous touring. Upon returning to the studio, the band channeled their experiences and frontman Adam Gontier’s personal struggles with addiction into their iconic 2006 album, “One-X,” which solidified their distinctive sound and thematic identity.
Their success continued with “Life Starts Now” (2009) and “Transit of Venus” (2012). However, Gontier’s temporary departure in 2013 and the addition of Matt Walst as his replacement marked a new creative phase. This era produced “Human” (2015), “Outsider” (2018), and “Explosions” (2022), showcasing the band’s ability to evolve while maintaining their characteristic dynamic and deeply charged sound.
With Gontier’s return in 2024 and Walst remaining as co-vocalist, Three Days Grace released “Alienation” a few months ago, an album that reaffirmed their status as one of the most influential names in alternative metal/rock. In recent years, the band has attracted a new, younger wave of fans, thanks to the timelessness of their themes and the irresistible energy of their live performances, proving their continued relevance and appeal across generations.
On Sunday, June 28, fans will have the opportunity to sing along to anthems such as “I Hate Everything About You,” “Pain,” “Animal I Have Become,” and “Never Too Late.”
Ticket Information and VIP Packages
Ticket sales begin on Wednesday, November 26, at 12:00 PM, priced at 50€. Subsequent pricing phases will be announced later. A limited number of VIP tickets are also available, starting at 100€.
